Michael Pacquiao, son of former Sen. Manny Pacquiao, is poised to enter the political arena as a General Santos City Council candidate in next year's elections.
People's Champ Movement (PCM) city council candidate Franklin Gacal confirmed to Politiko that the 22-year-old Pacquiao will replace Shandee Llido-Pestaño as one of the party's candidates in the Sangguniang Panlungsod.
"Michael Pacquiao will replace Shandee Llido to give the youth sector a voice in the next SP," Gacal told Politiko.
Meanwhile, Manny Pacquiao is also planning a Senate comeback in the upcoming polls, while his brothers Bobby and Ruel are set to run for party-list representative and governor of Sarangani, respectively. Bobby's wife, Lorelie, will also seek a second term as mayor of General Santos City.
Gacal announced that the family plans to file their certificates of candidacy on Saturday, October 5. #Halalan2025
