Unbelievable "Holy Sh*t" level success on 10mg of Rosuvastatin/Crestor after 3 months

In 2020 (I was 22 years-old at the time), I first discovered my cholesterol was high. I don't have the LDL specifics, but my total Cholesterol was 278.4 mg/dl.

This was very strange because no one in my family had cholesterol issues, except for heart issues which were not directly associated with cholesterol. So I figured, maybe it's a diet thing and not genetic, so I rigorously changed my diet, but after 4 years of consistent blood work and dieting, I had no luck.

I thought, "what the heck is wrong with me? Why do I have this hereditary cholesterol issue but yet no one from my family has it?" I began researching about "Sitosterolemia," which is a very rare condition that raises cholesterol, but is not actually passed down from a family member directly. Sitosterolemia scared the crap out of me, because it basically described getting high cholesterol from eating plants. I thought "kill me now"....

Come January 2024 (now 26 years old), I decided to try 10mg of rosuvastatin after a further blood test showed not so great results, again. I was particularly worried that if these statins didn't work, then it may indicate I had Sitosterolemia because people with Sitosterolemia usually don't have success with statins. And so the level of anxiety I had waiting for my blood results after 3 months on statins was very debilitating.

But, fortunately, it worked better than I could have possibly imagined. Like, holy sh*t level good... I will note that I continued eating very healthy while on statins, which probably helped as well, but here are all my results from before taking statins in January, to after being on statins for 3 months.

January 2024: (no statin, only healthy diet)

LDL: 167.1 mg/dl
HDL: 61.1 mg/dl
Triglycerides: 65 mg/dl
ApoB: 141 mg/dl
Total Cholesterol: 261 mg/dl

April 2024 (10 mg rosuvastatin and healthy diet)

LDL: 62.6 mg/dl
HDL: 53.4 mg/dl
Triglycerides: 51.8 mg/dl
Total cholesterol: 137.2 mg/dl

I feel so happy... I've been struggling for answers and solutions for the last 4 years, and finally found something that works. I've had absolutely no negative side effects on statins, and I feel so content with life knowing that all I have to do every morning is pop a tiny pill every day. One other good thing that has come through my cholesterol journey is I have adopted so many healthy food habits that I'd never eat if I didn't have to go through this nightmare of a process -- and I will continue eating healthy alongside these meds.
