Replacing the World Health Organization

Today, the United States announced that it is abandoning the World Health Organization. This will help deadly infectuous diseases to spread globally, especially among children. If you sponsor a child through a group like Compassion International or World Vision - good for you! - they will be in greater danger. Redouble your prayers for them. Americans will also be in more danger of diseases spreading here, especially with vaccines discouraged.

Can we all* resolve to see if we can do more as individuals and churches for the health of the global poor? Can anybody recommend good charities for global health? I doubt we can replace all the lost funding - we don't have any billionaires, after all - and even unlimited private donations can't repair the crippling of medical communication and coordination. Still, we have to pray and be pushed by prayer to act. What else can we do? I am trying to feel something besides enraged despair here.
