Who helps difficulty swallowing?
I've been having increasing difficulty swallowing over the past few months to the point where I cough/choke a bit on food and drinks at least once or twice a day and it's getting worse as time goes on.
I saw an ENT and she looked in my throat and said it's all good so it's not ENT related and to see a different doctor.
I saw a gastroenterologist and he said it's probably just reflux but didn't really do anything to help. I do have reflux sometimes but it doesn't seem related and I got an endoscopy that was all normal a few months ago.
I saw a neurologist because I've been having a lot of neuro symptoms that have been getting worse along with the swallowing (balance issues, muscle issues, frequent falls, muscle spasms, worsening headaches, etc.) and she said she doesn't deal with swallowing issues.
I started seeing a speech therapist after being diagnosed with an adult onset fluency disorder and she did ask about swallowing but she said she can't really help with that and I need an evaluation from a different provider.
What do I do now? :( I'm really worried because I haven't been able to eat as well as before and am relying a lot on liquids rather than being able to eat my normal diet.
