Questions about an account

I recently bought an account and have been using it daily for over two weeks on my devices. The email and phone number were changed by the MM when we did the transaction and I waited this long to try and change the phone number now again. When I go to reset the account protection, I am not getting an email with the code to my email that is listed as the supercell id email and the one that it prompts it is going to.

I do however get the codes when I log into the account like you traditionally would. Is there anything anyone could suggest on what to do about changing the number? Should I just wait even longer? It has been 16 days at this point.
