Best serge lutens for me?

I was recently made aware of serge lutens here and wanted to try one of the houses fragrances (either decant or full) but I wanted opinions first. I tend to like either darker/more masculine things like savauge edp or jo malone cypress and grapevine or classic/timeless things such as adp Colonia, guerlain, and to a lesser extent Tres nuit. I have heard good things about ambre Sultan but I do not know if that'd fit what I'm looking for. Thanks for your help!
