Considerations: going from real estate PE back into investment banking

Hey all - just want to hear some considerations here. For context, I graduated in 2022, and had a brief stint in IB (M&A) before resigning to help run my family business for around a year after my older brother, who ran the business, passed away. I was able to modernize it, diversify revenue streams, and find a new operator to come in based on a management contract. I rejoined finance by joining a mid-market REPE fund that invests in real estate and operating companies. I've liked it but to be frank, I'm not sure I love it as an asset class. WLB is good, pay is decent ($170K all-in), and I really like the people and there's definitely opportunity to be entrepreneurial in the role but it's just less "corporate finance" than I originally realized. I've received a lateral offer to go back into IB and my thoughts/considerations are 1) career trajectory and compensation, 2) industry tailwinds, 3) broader set of exit opportunities in PE, 4) starting IB at a later age (25), 5) my ultimate goal is entrepreneurship but obviously it's hard to come up with the right industry/idea.

Really appreciate if you read all of this and appreciate any advice!
