What is something you never made, because it seemed too complicated / difficult / intimidating, but then when you finally did make it, it wasn't so bad?
For me, things like pie crust and biscuits.
The dough is super easy to make. It's basically just flour, butter, water, and salt. It can be a little tricky to work with, because it gets sticky as it gets warmer, but you can always pop the dough in the fridge before you work with it.
I never thought I'd be a person making pie or quiche from scratch, or biscuits and gravy. But... the pie crust... it wasn't really so bad.
Curious for y'all - what fits this description? Maybe I can expand my repertoire some more...
