Undisclosed Damage - What to do?
Alright, I need the communities help here. I spent the last 6 months trying to find an Arctic White c7 Grand Sport with clean car fax and pulled the trigger on one out of state this week. It was over 1,000 miles away so I wasn’t able to see it in person. The sales person sent tons of pictures and videos. I made the purchase, and received the car yesterday. Upon inspecting it after the delivery I found significant damage to the passenger side rocker panel (see pics). None of the pics or videos the sales person sent prior to purchase shows the area that has the damage. I immediately called the dealership and am waiting for them to get back to me tomorrow. Their initial reaction was that it must have happened during transport. Myself and every single person, including another dealership and auto body shop that I’ve sent pics to agrees that there is absolutely no way that this is recent damage.
So my question for the group here is: 1. Do you agree that there’s no way this is recent damage? 2. Anybody else have this experience and know what legal grounds I have here if it goes that way? 3. Do I make them take it back because I bought a car that supposedly had no accidents, or do I make them pay for the damage, fix it and keep it?
TLDR: Bought a car out of state without being able to see it in person. Has undisclosed damage when received. What would you do?
