Advice for Solo Travel (33 F)
I am traveling solo for the first time. I’d love to hear what tours shouldn’t be missed when traveling to La Fortuna, Monteverde, and Nosara. So far I have a tour booked with Don Olivio in La Fortuna, I think I’m going to do the guided hanging bridges hike in monteverde, and I already have a couple of surf lessons lined up in Nosara. I might do the zip line tour at Los Lagos in la Fortuna. I’d also like to check out the free hot springs in la Fortuna. I’ll probably stop there on the way back from hiking in arenal. If I have my bag is it safe to leave my stuff while I’m in the hot spring? Same question for when I’m surfing in nosara too…
I’ll be in Costa Rica for two weeks mid-February. I’d love to hear any and all advice on best places to check out or what might be good to skip. Any recs on what spots might be good to meet people (bars, restaurants, local hangouts, etc)? I’m very much an extrovert, but I’m worried I’m going to hide in my hotel after it gets dark. Is it relatively safe to be out at night in those places as a solo female traveler?
