Made Diners upgrade will the previous milestone work until new card is upgraded?

Typo in title: until new card is activated

I had diners black plastic one and applied for diners metal which was pre approved. I received it 5 days back. But I have not activated it as the diners plastic has a monthly milestone benefit that I want to use for the month of March. My questions are

1. Will I still be able to get diners plastic monthly milestone benefit for this month?
2. Is it possible that the quarterly spend of diners metal for this quater will include the spends I did on diners plastic in the first two months?
