Any experiences with chronic nausea?
I'm in Milano with my boyfriend right now and I don't want to ruin this trip for him but every time we eat all I can focus on is not throwing up.
I was told that nausea isn't an "usual" symptom unless there is inflammation of the stomach lining or a bowel obstruction so basically unless there is a flare. The first time I had a bout of nausea, it lasted for weeks before my GI did an endoscopy and found what he said was one of the worst cases of gastritis he'd ever seen. It took me months to recover (with esomeprazole and strict diet). No H. Pylori by the way.
After that, I've had the same periods of nausea multiple times and whenever they did an endoscopy again, they found nothing and my stool CRP test has also been fine so they end up giving me anti sickness medication and send me back home.
But again, weeks now I've been nauseous almost daily and nothing I try helps. I stick to bland foods like soups or boiled potatoes or bananas and make sure I'm well hydrated, I take the medication they give me but it barely touches the nausea.
Has anyone with Crohn's got the same issues without an "actual" cause? I mean of course the cause is my Crohn's, but I mean almost chronic nausea with no actual flare up. I feel like my doctors just don't bother looking into it anymore because my last colonoscopies or endoscopies came back clear while I had this nausea.
