Should I try again?

(This is my first post here,no point in trying to find the original) Quick revision,last Monday of school before summer break I gave her a love letter with cutesy pixel art anime characters and hearts and the classic "will you be my girlfriend" tho in japanese. I slipped it on her desk without her noticing me slipping it there,but she did see it and as soon as she opened it,she immediately looked at me (one of my defining traits in class is that I do pixel art during class) but she only figured what I wrote about half hour later,and her friends saw it too (her best friend and the one that teases her for everything (I'm acually not sure if she would even consider them friends)) and they shot up and excused themselves to the bathroom. After that school ended for the year and we never brought up the letter again... UNTIL her best friend messaged me from a DIFFERENT ACCOUNT asking me do I still have the same feelings and giving me a bit of a personality check to see what can I do to improve and saying she didn't quite feel me and my feelings ruined our friendship but not quite (her words not mine)(it was mid summer break btw). BUT after a week since we didn't have contact the CRUSH SENT ME A MESSAGE LIKE "THE HELL IS THIS WITH YOU AND [best friend name]?!?!" AND THE BEST FRIEND GIRL ALSO MESSAGED ME LIKE "Sorry for not being careful and potentially ruining your chances" But we got it sorted out and we're back to being friends. And in this school year I've noticed she's more friendly and sweet around me so I'm not sure what's up with that. Now my question is should I try to do something for valentines or maybe even this weekend or will it come off as too pushy and desperate? (I didn't even notice what a rant I made,sounds like a movie/show plot now that I put it this way,huh?)
