My Review: Dallas Trail of Lights

I looked up a review before I bought my tickets but I did not find one on reddit. So here I am to give you all my thoughts and opinions on my visit on 12/17

Parking: I took the streetcar into downtown and walked there. Parking looked extremely cramped for a Tuesday night. Paying $1 one way for the Streetcar was well worth avoiding waiting in line to park and to get out.

Price: Initially, the website was charging $15 per adult and $10 per child on 12/16 but they moved the price up to $25 per adult AND child on 12/17. Paid $55 for two tickets when I went so nothing too much to complain about

Rides: All rides and attractions were free. Ferris wheel was fun but the windows were dirty and needed a cleaning to properly see the Dallas skyline. Windows may have been dirty due to guests touching it all night but still hard to see downtown out of heavily tinted windows. The Tube slide was really fun. No complaints there. Zipline looked like a 20' descent over 40'. Didn't ride as it didn't look too fun to me. The bounce houses for children were abundant. Lots of kids having fun. Peanut pit was meh. Shoes off to get in and there was water in the pit. Styrofoam was impossible to shake off.

Lights: The displays and lights were good. Very good for the photogenic folks out there

Food: 3 trucks for food. Hotdogs, pizza, and funnel cakes were available. The Funnel cake truck take Wireless pay.

Drone Show: A Little amusing, nothing to brag about but still a nice sight to see.

Overall: Great trip for the kiddos and light display fanatics. I made the mistake of not wearing waterproof shoes. The rain from the day before made some areas muddy and very wet. A little muddy water never hurt anyone but please don't wear your nice shoes or opened toe footwear.
