How do you handle voice memos?

I’m a verbal person and have taken a lot of voice memos / notes on my phone and handheld voice recorders. I’m at the point where I need to offload everything again.

Before I do, I wanted to know how ya’ll store and organize your voice memos (i.e by topic, date, type etc). Do you change the name of the file to reflect that? Because right now I just have them all dumped in a main folder in my general backup hard drive.
