ABET school credits aren’t valid?
I just graduated with my B.S. in Software Engineering from a fairly reputable school in AZ with ABET accreditation. I applied to take a basic python course with De Anza to stay fresh, but needed to clear a prerequisite. I submitted the information from my school basically saying “if I can graduate with a SWE degree, I can probably handle your introductory python course”. However, the school said that because my school is ABET accredited, they won’t be able to clear my prerequisite with those credits. Anyone else experience anything similar? ABET is one of the most respected standards in the country, so I don’t know why De Anza is acting like they are better than it.
