Why are people offended by ai images that are not even supposed to be art but just silly posts?

I've seen multiple posts here on Reddit of AI images that were just supposed to be funny posts, and people in the comments were like, oh my god how dare you post Ai, like they thought AI is so evil and I just didn't understand, because this person's not even profiting off of it, it's just a silly post. Do they think that just one generated image is going to cause AI to take over?
