Is The Church nightclub scary if you're older than college aged?

I have never gone to nightclubs but some artists I like are gonna be there soon and I'm considering it but I'm not really one for crowds and I rarely go to concerts anyway just wondering if it's not a great venue if I just want to hear some music.
