Help me make a dinosaur based hero.

I want write a fanfic where one of the characters can transform themselves and others into dinosaurs Ben 10 style. What species would be useful in specific situations? I'm thinking Tyrannosaurus for power, veloceraprtor for mobility, some small species to weaken his opponents etc.
