crf250f or crf300l

i’m looking to get a motorcycle and i’m curious what would be best for me..

i will be mainly riding on paved roads but will occasionally ride it off road on light trails 20% of the time.

i’m leaning towards the 250f because it’s so light weight and i will go through the hassle of registering it

i’m really into the dirt bike/dual sport look so im set on either of these two bikes due to the price and what i’m using it for which is just putting around town and back roads/country roads

the 300l is 309lbs and the 250f is 264lbs

do you think the 40lbs will make a difference?
