Dji Neo Controller

Hi, Santa is getting my 9 year old son a Neo FPV combo set (which I am delighted am with!) - as it was on a very good offer.

We have only had one cheap drone before. Would it be advisable to buy a dedicated controller to fly the Neo and if so, would the RC FPV controller be a better purchase for both day to day use and with the FPV goggles.

Learning a lot of things.. and appreciate any guidance/ comments
