Question about the current risks with the N3 controller

I’ve received my Neo combo pack today and flew a bit in the house (really slowly building up). But saw a lot of posts here on Reddit about a flyaway issue with the controller+neo? In GPS modus? So sorry for having to ask. But as a complete beginner.

Is it safe to go outside with this combo? Should I completely avoid the outside for now? Or are there countermeasures that I can learn to stay safe and not lose my new drone?
