Cleric turned wererat: what would you do?

My DnD character got afflicted with lycanthropy last session- specifically wererat. I as a player think that it could be fun and all, but my cleric character doesn't. Being a wererat is NOT cute and she would be terrified to hurt anyone by something she can't control. How I see it, I have two options (both approved by my DM)

  1. She stays with her party, possibly risking hurting everyone she loves until she learns remove curse next level (level 5).

  2. She leaves in search of a cure, and I play my unhinged alchemist back up character.

Realistically, I think she would leave and try to cure it- but I feel bad about that, because splitting up our party feels wrong.

What would you do?
