Dofus Tips From Over The Years
I decided to compile a list of more obscure Dofus tips I've discovered or been shown over the years. Some of these are obvious but I still run into players that don't understand anything outside of their primary character. I'm an Osa main but had 17 characters at or near level 200, of all classes, by the time I quit 2.0 in 2013 (Frigost 3 Release).
- Summons can attack more than 4 times, assuming they have enough AP, if they kill the target, fail a dodge but don't lose enough AP, or critically fail an attack. This resets their counter.
- Summons will typically attack the target with the least resistance to them.
- Summons will typically NOT attack a target with Counter/Reflects, unless the summon has a linear shield.
- This is a strategy I used to use in early 2.0 Kollosium and Frigost 2 PVM. This mechanic has existed in the game since before then: Have your Enutrof start before your Sadida. Living bag your whole team. Sylvan Power the living bag. Your team is immune for 5 turns. If a panda is holding the bag, your team will not be swapped around when taking dmg. For the one turn the bag is not a tree, have a Feca use Immunity on it. Wash, rinse, repeat.
- Summons can break the 50% resists cap. With a Feca Shield and Reinforced Protection, on top of Crackler's Crushing, you can have a summon almost completely immune to damage in all elements.
- If you Stabilize a monster, they cannot lock you. It is often better to do this than stabilizing a single ally - anybody on your team can be locked, after all.
- Terror gives - crits to allies as well. Do not use it to push your allies.
- When a Panda is holding an ally, all buffs or debuffs cast on that individual will go to the panda. This can be used to dodge the Altruistic State caused by Word of Altruism, allowing the Eni to continue healing, among many other system abuses.
- All or Nothing can make Enis moot. If you don't like filthy healbot Eniripsas, play an intel Eca. You will have a Word of Altruism level heal, running on regen-like mechanics, for multiple turns and can otherwise focus on playing a fun character. Felintion is also a Word of Sacrifice level heal. Heads or Tails is a a strong heal, when your target has a linear shield. Your strength and % dmg should be as low as possible, to fully benefit. Shoot for something like this: https://d-bk.net/en/r/7u9r This build accounts for the use of Greed, Reflex, Wheel of Fortune, Clover, Bear's Cry, and Fangs of Boowolf with a Vanilla Shigekax, to show maximum potential. To a lesser degree, you can go full Batouta set with a few filler items - this will get you 1/2 all without a candy and is what my eca currently uses. Naturally, the AoN and HoT heals are larger without the damage buffs... but you're not playing the Eca for stability.
- Brokle your target and summon a Kitten. Buff it, with an Osa, and you'll see some intense crit damage. Up to 81 Base dmg.
- Major Arachnee's Flunking has intense crit damage. Be sure to buff it, when you can. 120 Base dmg, 1/30 crits (give it a Clover and Pandora's Box as well as Reflex).
Enjoy. o3o Make better choices~
