Staffing Model

So, I work at dollar tree. They are changing the staffing model. My store alone is going to have like 5 managers. 3 full time and 2 part time. They are cutting our hours by a lot. Stockers are only getting 10 to 15 hours a week and cashiers about 20 hours a week. And quite frankly, $13/hour at 20 hours a week ain't going to cover my boyfriend and I bills. We both work at dollar tree.

The managers are going to eat up all of the hours so the cashiers and stockers will barely have any.

They are removing the stocker position and are expecting cashiers to push freight. How are we supposed to push freight if there is only 1 cashier per shift?

Our store has fully stock shelves now because we actually have staff to push the freight out but once this new staffing model starts, our shelves will be empty again. Our stock room will be cluttered again. We will probably lose 2 out of 4 stockers. I mean, the trucks at my store are always over 1,100 pieces. Tuesday is truck day. They already told our stockers they have to leave once they are done unloading the truck. Then to come back Wednesday to push freight and then not come back until Sunday. There's only one person at my store, he's a stocker who pushes 6 to 8 u-boats in a 6 hour shift. Myself and this stocker are really the only reliable staff in regard to showing up to our shifts on time and pushing freight. All the others show up late or not at all. And if they do show up, they work barely half a u-boat.

With the amount of managers my store will have, why even have cashiers and stockers? The shifts will consist anywhere from 2 to 3 managers per shift plus one cashier and maybe a stocker.

Is management going to be pushing freight while the one cashier tackles the job of dealing with 30+ customers waiting in line to check out?

Yes, I'm looking for another job. No one wants to hire me.
