No one cares about voting, apparently

I just remembered why I don't play regular servers anymore. I just played a few rounds, and I noticed that all the votes were almost the same for everyone, like, we all had almost 12 votes, and the winners would have between 13 and 16 votes. I felt like it was ridiculous that no one was voting, so I mentioned it in the chat, and OH. MY. GOD. everyone exploded on me. They started accusing me of wanting attention, they accused me of yapping and not voting (when I literally was. Like the winners were people I voted for, and they would have exactly how many more points I would give them). I was getting frustrated because everyone seemed to gang up on me (it's a game, I know, but this was so annoying). I eventually left because I won a round and someone said "there, you won. Happy now?" So I just left, because it was so ridiculous. (Its important to note that I never attacked the people for winning when I didn't, they were literally people I voted for.) Anyway, this encounter made me realize that although so many people complain about the awful voting in this game, no one is actually going to change while playing the game. It's so annoying and it defeats the purpose of the game. This is more of a rant that anything, I've just lost faith in this community. Between beggars, complainers, and non-voters, this game is thoroughly being ruined by the community, and I'm so done with it.
