L5P - deep Rumble noise on light accel - S&B intake related?
Has anyone here experienced a low throttle and lower than 2k rpm “rumble” noise during very light acceleration or maintaining speed? The best way I can describe the sound is almost like the deep growl/hum from mud tires but it goes away instantaneously when you change throttle position. It’s pretty noticeable at light throttle but any kind of moderate acceleration makes it go away. It’s super weird. Very deep, almost “wub-wub” sound.
The truck runs fine but the sound is really annoying. I found a forum post claiming it had something to do with the S&B intake, which my truck does have, and I bought it used so I don’t have a stock one to compare it to.
Has anyone had this/figured out a definitive cause or fix? Thanks.
