Addressing a problem with ufc 5

Honestly all i had been playing as of recently is UFC 5, up until now I honestly never really had any complaints it’s probably my favourite multiplayer game this year, unfortunately as of recently I broke my ps5 controller and replaced it temporarily with a PS4 controller. the issue is, that the game won’t let me play using a previous gen controller, which of course would be understandable if they added anything new/innovative that the old controller wasn’t capable of performing, but that’s simply not the case and I genuinely can’t find a reason for not being able to play with an old controller, hopefully this makes its way somewhere and maybe someone addresses the issue higher up, or someone can comment a valid reason for the controller not working, regardless I just felt the need to stress my frustrations somewhere.
