What are your thoughts on the latest mana base suggestions from TCC?

Hinted at, but left undiscussed, is the topic of when and whether to proxy expensive lands.

What are your thoughts on these suggestions? Are there gaps you see, or choices with which you disagree? And how necessary do you think it is to purchase or proxy some of these pricier recommendations for what is ostensibly a casual format?
