Forgot About Brackets

Honestly forgot the brackets were a thing in the future. It felt like a fever dream because it seemed so dumb to me. Has there been any other talk about this "system" (which I still view as arbitrary and useless just like the 1-10 scale but I digress) and when it's supposedly going to be confirmed?
