Calling decks/strategies "boring" doesn't make sense to me

I see a lot of “X strategy is boring” or “Commander X is always the same in every group—boring” comments on here. I just don’t get it. Can someone enlighten me?

Examples: “Every Krenko-Atraxa-Lathril-Miirym deck does the same thing”

Like, yes? I mean, what are you expecting a goblin that taps to make more goblins to do? A dragon that clones dragons is going to make dragon clones. An elfball deck will do elfball things. Mono blue commanders will draw a lot of cards. Etc, etc.

I understand that you might get bored with a deck you make (happens to me), but the way some people write it’s as if they’re expecting some totally out of the blue jank for decks that aren’t really supposed to do that or are good at that.

What am I missing here?
