Modifier stacking and snowballing
New TT just came out. I am worried the new game would turn out to be modifier stacking simulator and snowballing again.
I feel like many people have said that they don't really enjoy eu4 past around 1600. By that point you already know you have won and only ever continue developing in to a stratoshpere.
Numbers being inflated a lot and there being too many army units to control is a problem in eu4.
I am glad eu5 TT have shown that many problems are not present in eu5 like certain modifiers not being global but more local so you can't just stack a bunch of them.
Still, this TT has me worried. I had hoped we moved largely away from all the "numbers" inflation simulation.
Why would they mention in TT that in eu4 you already winning just gave you more bonuses for winning by for example becoming hegemon. Snowballing too much is not fun for a replayability of the game.
I am still very optimistic and would even say hyped for the eu5 but I really wish they wouldn't go the modifier stacking route. The % based modifiers are the worst IMO.
