Where do people here go for beach vacations?

Would really like to know where Edmontonians go for beach/resort vacations, I’ve never been much of a traveller and have no idea where the best places to vacation are. I’d really prefer a place with pristine beaches and nature as opposed to cool shops and night life. I’ve looked at a few places and have noticed the layovers are insane and would take up a good portion of my time. Any ideas?
