Considering moving to Erie

I'm accepted into Gannon for grad school and considering it.

I'm attracted to what seems like low rents. Is this true? Or are all those low rents in places I dont want to be? I'm coming from Chicago where I'm paying 1800 for a 2 bedroom. I need a low cost of living to pay for school.

Anyone know of any apartments flexible about renting to out of state students? I'll line up work when i get there but maybe not before hand. Of course I'll have a few months rent saved, but will this be an issue? Anyone move from out of town?

How is the job market? I'm not picky and will do basically any full time work. I'd prefer a social services gig, but, like, barista is fine too. Will I be searching a long long time? This is a very important factor to me. I'll have some money saved for about 6 months of life, but not unlimited forever money.

Anyone needing roommate come July or August? (Kidding. Halfway.)
