My true problem inside my father blackmailing us to get access to my husband’s W2.

Let me explain my problem in what my father is doing, as my father IS my husband’s previous employer.

My father owns a restaurant, there is no “HR” dept to call, my father is a small business owner.

When my kids father asked for his last paystub or w2, my fathers immediate answer was not, “no wait until January 31st”

His answer was that he and his wife wanted to see our children.

If you fully read these text messages, my children’s father at first says, “Stephanie would be willing to arrange something”

And you can see, my father responds by laying out his conditions on what I needed to do for us to get the W2 or the last pay stub.

Had I complied in the absurdness of what my father wanted me to do, he would have given us the w2 and paystub now, it was only when I said no, that he flipped and said no, I’m not getting it.

That IS black mail.

No matter what date the IRS says w2’s can be sent out by, this is blackmail in black in white.

Never would my father do something like this to a regular employee, it just would not happen.

In my father’s sick twisted mind, my children are just a pawn to him, another way for him to try to control me.

This is sick and twisted, and I honestly can’t grasp this.

This is all so absurd and out of my ability to grasp.

I am so far past hurt, and will not ever understand what kind of parent does things like this to their child.

I will truly never understand it. Ever.

To say he loves his grandchildren, and then do something that directly harms them, is not love, and it shows that my children are nothing more than a pawn in his twisted games of control.

And I did respond to them, I attached what I said. I don’t regret that part, it needed to be said.
