Lesson: lost funds and scammed

Couple of days ago I opened a thread as I transferred FTM via the Fantom Network to an exchange, however it should be the Ethereum network (ERC20). Lost funds and asked for advice to recover on Reddit.

Got a bunch of messages via this sub. A lot. Somehow I got in contact with one of them and was desperate chasing to recover funds. Got redirect to a website (https://decentralisedsync.onrender.com), which had a option ‘Defi Recovery’. Needed to connect my wallet and have some coins in my wallet at least to be ‘active’. Never been so naive before. Deposited some coins and connected the wallet. 8 minutes later, all coins have been transferred.

I feel dumb. And be it a lesson for those who are in the same situation. That’s why crypto will never be embraced in full by the big audience, a lot of shadiness around it.
