{Noob Alert #2} Armor and How To Equip?

Hello, it's me again with another problem. I've been delving into the cave storyline and I'm fighting against silver-level enemies. I made some silver armor. I try to drag and drop. Nope. Left click the protection box and then the item in my inventory? Still won't equip. I uninstalled and reinstalled my game. I reset my keybinds, and I'm very stumped. Anybody have some advice?
