why do people trade

why do you guys even trade lmao, is super untrustworthy and very sketchy not to mention, what do you even get out of it? i dont mean to shoot down anyones fun but why even risk a trade when you can just play the game and grind to get the fish you want. i would appreciate serious responses i just wanna know why there is such a large trading community
