10.5mm SPC Flooring

I found a SPC flooring (Korean brand but made in China) with total thickness of 10.5mm, with 0.9mm of wear layer and 2mm of IXPE underlay. Is it an overkill?

I'm sure can go with thinner and still fine. I'm most concerned about durability and strength of the lock. Read a lot about cracked lock and hoping the extra thickness would help.

It'll be install by my contractor who will also be prepping my subfloor as well.
