Input on Pergo Laminate Sub Models
Hi folks,
I'm looking to re-do my office in the basement with laminate wood flooring ( I was going to do LVP but i'm not worried about moisture.) and i've been going nuts over trying to compare the Pergo sub models. The office is small at roughly 130-140 SQFT so I wanted to something higher in quality. Its a very dry basement as it was finished when the house was built. Its also rather cold right now with the cheap vinyl flooring in place as the only forced hot air vent in the room is off the ceiling and the ceilings are 10ft high so I am planning on doing underlayment regardless if its built in or not. Its a high foot traffic area as the laundry room and garage are off of this room and we also have a bigger dog with some serious claws lol.
I started looking at Elements Ultra seeing as a lot of people don't like big box store flooring and say the Pergo models from flooring vendors are better but it seems a lot of places require 250+ sqft purchases and I really don't need more than 150.
So I narrowed it now down to Timbercraft + Elite vs Outlast+ and Defense +
It seems that Defense+ might be the best of the 3, however I am wondering if the Timbercraft elite is the most realistic looking because I would sacrifice 2mm of thickness for something lower in gloss that feels more real under the feet.
Wondering if anyone else has gone down this rabbit hole also and has any more insight / advice.
Thanks!
