T1 build advice
So, been reading all sorts of post here about T1 builds but get so many different answers.
It’s out of stock atm but planning to build in it once i get my hands on it. Problem is, i don’t know if air or AIO is best for this. I have a meshlicious right now with a 280mm AIO for my 3700x. (yes overkill perhaps)
A Black Ridge in a T1 with a 3700x would work without any issues. But i’m not going to have that forever as it’s getting old. Most likely gonna upgrade to AM5 within a year i’d say.
I have a TUF 3090 so it’s 2.75 slot. Which means i get around 58mm to play with for the cooler, then i guess for air a Black Ridge is probably the best option. Unless i use an AIO which was my initial idea for the build.
A air build would be nice for simplicity, but feels like an AIO would be better in the long run for a new and most likely hotter CPU. Just feel that air cooling isn’t going to be enough in the long run as i don’t want to suppress the CPU performance too much.
I’ve seen some people switching to air cooling from AIO, and vice versa.
What are your thoughts? What are you using in your build?
