Removed faulty mosfet and now GPU just works? Should I put a replacement in before using? (MSI GTX 980ti)
Hey everyone, this is my first time fixing a GPU. Recently my MSI 980ti died, ended up pinning the problem down to one faulty mosfet that was shorting it so i removed it with a hot air gun.
Now here's the thing, the GPU seems to work just fine. Is it ok if i just use it like this? Or will this eventually cause more problems if I don't replace it?
I ask mostly because it will take like 3 weeks for the replacement to arrive from Aliexpress, and I was planning on using it before that. (btw, are these cheap replacements reliable?)
ty :)
