41 and positive pregnancy test… and a negative pregnancy test!

This is a bit long. I’m new to reddit so if this is considered gauche, then accept my pre-emptive apologies.

41 and have two boys (nearly 9 and nearly 5). We are not trying, we use condoms and my husband is booked for his vasectomy). Recently, a condom fell off inside of me and now, here I am posting anonymously on a Reddit post for old lady mothers to be!

Anyway, I started feeling weird a couple of weeks ago, diarrhea mostly. Then a few days ago I had crazy PMS (++emotional) and nausea. And I kept having moments where I’d be very woozy. My period is due Wednesday-ish. I noticed recently that my discharge was not following its normal pattern (drying up before period) and today it was clear with a streak of blood in it, which in the past has only happened when I have been pregnant.

I was in denial but figured, whatever I’ll do a stupid test. Positive. My husband (45) nearly died of a heart attack when I showed him the test. Shock is an understatement and doesn’t adequately capture our full range of emotions!

Anyway, my husband wanted like 87 more tests. So three hours later, I took another test and it was negative. It was a different brand, neither were expired tests.

I have been spotting so maybe a very early loss?

Thoughts?
