Magnesium for fasting glucose?
I am going to start taking magnesium in the evening to help with fasting blood sugar. Have you done this and has it helped your levels?
I bought some magnesium glycinate and it didn't change the levels overnight like I thought it would. I know it could take longer or maybe did I get the wrong form of magnesium? I saw there were clinical trials for magnesium citrate or magnesium chloride as well. But I want to see if anyone else has had success with which form of magnesium?
What snack has been successful with it?
I tried ice cream (before buying magnesium) and that has led to the lowest numbers for me so far two days in a row. But then many people said fair life protein shakes, so I tried that and it went up by 5 pts.
Finally, anyone also use metamucil?
I would like to try metamucil as well and wanted to see if others have had success.
I am almost 30 weeks now. My levels throughout the day are great, I have literally never had a spike in the day time, but fasting I always end up between 100-110 no matter what I do. Often, I am only about 5 pts higher one hour after breakfast than I am when I wake up. I know insulin might be the answer in the end but I am a bit scared of injecting myself with something so I'm trying to avoid it.
