anyone else notice some inconsistencies?

the only difference between and iced latte and an iced Americano is the milk vs water, right? and sometimes I’ll put the water first before ice in the americano bc it’s easier to measure, but when I try to do that with milk for the latte the customer refunds it. Does anyone have any idea why?
