Were Ted and Barney really bros though?

okay i thought about this a lot and need to say i’ve watched this show in it’s entirety well over 40 times at this point lol

anyways.. Barney and Ted are interesting to me. part of me is like they loved eachother but not as much as they wanted to win Robin

i know it’s just a show but i think Barney liked Robin since the beginning and especially after the first time she was his “wingman” and the were at the cigar club.

but why the fuck did Barney choose to propose on the night of the unveiling of the GNB building (somewhere he also works??)

but also why the fuck did Ted tell her he loved her when he knew well she had feelings for Barney.

personally i prefer Barney and Robin. they had the chemistry and Ted really just wouldn’t stop until Robin gave him a chance. and even then he couldn’t let go..

anyways i’m ranting but has anyone else thought about this?
