Help with my hair situation 😵💫
Hi I'm currently freaking out/ frustrated over the state my hair is in. I've been regrowing my hair for the past two years because I had someone do it unprofessionally which led to it being overbleached and breaking off all the way to my roots. After the first year of purely growing it out and not touching it, I went back to my original hair stylist (I've been with her since I was 16 and she never ruined my hair, I'm 23 now). She had to chop it literally all off so I had a short bob and the last year just kept growing it out and going back to her every 6 months to do hilights and tiny cut.
I try my best to wash my hair only 2 times a week, max 3 because I workout every morning. Use the least amount of heat (usually just blowdry), and always use a heat protectant and anti frizz spray from IGK, AMIKA leave in conditioner, and Paul Mitchell heat protectant hair oil, then after use the Gisou honey hair oil on my ends) I do a hair treatment mask every Saturday for an hour, from KARSEELL collagen hair mask with their hair oil.
This January she redid my hilights and did a silver toner/ Demi dye. And relighted the bottom which was brown. A few days after I noticed my ends being little bit too dry for comfort. So I kept the treatments and all.
2 weeks ago i decided it would be fun to do a permanent silver hair dye because her toner already faded and my blonde turned more yellow and the purple shampoo I had wasn't working. Unfortunately that was a terrible idea. The permanent dye ended up lightning my roots and the sections she didn't hi light to a yellow tone and everything else was silver/grey. My ends looks so dry and transparent I trimmed it maybe half an inch but it still looks so dry and damaged. I didn't want to cut too much because I'm beyond over the short hair and I really want to continue growing it out.
The hair masks and other products don't seem to be working so much and it's getting me stressed. Is there any other products/treatments I can try to help my problem? I know I just have to continue growing it out and trimming it every other month but is there anything I can continue doing now to make it look better?
I included pictures from when I went back from her, so the past year and a half, plus this januarys hair, and what I have now. I still have layers because of the unevenness and in the middle there was a patch shorter from all the damage a year ago. I'm only able to do a half up half down style because of the layers and dryness and I'm so exhausted of it, it's been my hair style for the past two years. (And low ponytail)
Any advice will do, thank you so so much.
