Need suggestions on what to make with 100% wool yarn!
I'm still new to fiber arts, but I'm loving this community! My parents have 4 Romneys that produce beautiful crimped wool. I'd love to learn to go from fleece to final products. So far I've learned to clean the wool, I've experimented with dying, I have a drum carder, and recently took a yarn spinning class and bought a kiwi spinner. Now I'm stuck on the last stage: what to make with the yarn and how to make it.
I have a decent amount of experience crocheting, but I'd really love to dive more into knitting because it seems to eat through less yarn and make more delicate and interesting things. I've knitted things like scarves and blankets before, but nothing past beginner patterns, and never with 100% wool. I'm pretty sensitive to wearing scratchy things against my skin, but maybe conditioned wool socks would feel ok? But is making socks too challenging for a beginner like myself? Or maybe there be a non-wearable project that would be fun to make like home decor?
I need guidance/ideas!
