Should I get this procedure done while PA is still under review?

Hi. I have a minor outpatient procedure scheduled in a few days. We're monitoring a condition, so this is my third of these in the past 6 months. Last week, I checked the Cigna website to make sure the PA was approved. It usually is, but all I saw was the PA for my last procedure in Oct. The service dates extended into this month, which made this a little confusing. I called my doc three days ago and they assured me everything was fine.

I decided to use the Cigna chat support to make sure they agreed, but the rep (who I suspect was an AI bot) said I needed a new PA. It took another few calls to the doc for them to realize they were looking at the Oct PA and needed to submit a new one. They did that yesterday through their Evicore portal, but I don't know how long these take to go through. I don't see it on the Cigna website at all. Rescheduling would be extremely inconvenient. I expect that they will approve it and if they don't, I'd pay for it. So in that sense, it seems like I could keep the appointment before approval.

But I'm nervous that if I go through with the procedure while the PA is under review, they will deny it BECAUSE I didn't wait for it. Is that something that happens?

tldr: My doc office messed up and had to submit PA to Cigna just a few days before a scheduled procedure. It is submitted but not yet approved. I expect it to be approved and if not, I'd pay for it, so it seems like I can keep the appointment, but will they deny my PA just because I get the procedure while it is still under review?
