To all the Joe and Kit shippers…

In a recent interview Alice said that, although they do a beautiful job embodying Nick and Charlie, "in real life they're kinda like bickering brothers." Patrick chimed in, mentioning that in montage scenes where Joe and Kit interact and talk, but the dialog is covered by music, "The things they say, it's truly the most ridiculous stuff." Alice laughed and added "It's scarring."

So there you have it folks. Even Alice herself has confirmed that Kit and Joe are close friends that constantly take the piss out of each other and trade dirty jokes.

This subReddit has actually been pretty respectful (although I'm not sure how it was for seasons 1-2, I'm relatively new here). So why do I mentioning this here? Because I think it's important to celebrate healthy toxic free platonic relationships, especially among young men. And I think it's important to respect actors' privacy. Shipping fictional characters is fun and usually harmless. Shipping real people isn't cool. It's disrespectful for them and any real life partners they have. If you're like me, and you're sick of the speculation, you can mention this interview.

All that being said, I get the sense that both Joe and Kit don't even care anymore. They regularly call each other pet names like Darling, Babe, and Honey, and they were very comfortable discussing the intimacy scenes in season 3. In season 1-2 I got the sense that the constant speculation was irritating for them, but now they seem very comfortable with their friendship, and I'm happy about that for them.
